A three-day program was held in IHFC - Pannala where all the Diploma Level students of JVI participated in three groups. The objectives of the program included team building, confidence building, developing leadership skills, effective communication, motivation etc. The course content included time management, interpersonal communication, positive thinking, teamwork, work life balance, self-confidence and leadership, facing challenges, decision-making and presentation skills.
The annual excursion of the JVI School of Language to Knuckles mountain range was held on 27thof April 2018. Students, lecturers and some of the parents participated and it was an amazing experience for all.This annual excursion serves as a team building event and an event where the students are offered with a quality time to spend amongst colleagues whilst exploring the beauty of nature
The diploma awarding ceremony of JVI was held on 2nd of April at the JVI Auditorium. 77 Students were awarded with the Diploma in English and Certificate in English.
St. Joseph Vaz Institute For Higher Education & Vocational Training, Kurunegala, signed the bond of affiliation with Aquinas University College, Colombo. The event took place at Archbishop’s House, Borella on 11th July 2017. His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the vice chancellor of Aquinas University College signed the bond of affiliation with His Lordship Bishop Harold Anthony Perera. Aquinas Diploma in English, Information Technology and Cambridge English courses are now available for students and those look for higher education. The Institute will open its new branches at Kuliyapitiya & Pannala on 9th September 2017. Rev. Dr. Susith Silva, the Rector of Aquinas Unversity College & Rev. Fr. Sagara Perera, the director of JVI were also present for the historic moment.
